However, when it works art education is magic. When teachers, instructors, professors have the ability to enable their students, no matter the age or background, then life is different. The impact of the creation of art works are not lost on their makers. Instead they become rooted in memory as something positive and deeply personal. Through the arts many students are able to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride for developing a skill or for achieving a level of mastery that will serve them well where ever their life's journey will ultimately take them.

What is not to like about good ideas, a fresh outlook, and a new way of doing something better? And what is wrong with creating the next best thing? Where else in our collective curriculum do we enable and encourage students to think about a variety of ways to not only achieve, but also appreciate and applaud the efforts of others?
